Company Golf Day another success

17th October 2017

Golf Day

On Saturday the sun shone, the birds sang and 24 mixed ability golfers met at Chelsfield Lakes Golf Course to play for a moment in Durey Castings history.

It was the Ken & Peggy Durey Memorial Golf Trophy competition. As before, the six teams (named after Ken and Peggy's six children) battled it out for the right to hold aloft the silver cup, and hopefully, have plenty of fun in the mean time.

Last year's winners were first off the tee and led a procession of golfers (and a couple of non-golfers) around a beautiful course in the sunshine. Great shots, mediocre shots and even some poor shots were achieved by a group of golfers determined to have fun and raise money for charity.

Team Jan won the day with Team Louisa coming in second place.

We managed to raise £500 on the day, split equally between Dementia UK and McMillan Cancer support.

Thank you to everyone who took part.
